Overview

Voxen is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

Data We Collect

• Anonymous Authentication — We use Supabase Auth to create an anonymous session. No email, name, or personal information is required.
• Podcast Topics — Topics you enter are sent to our servers to generate podcast content. Topics are not stored permanently beyond the generated episode.
• Generated Audio — Audio files are stored on Supabase Storage so you can access your podcasts.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone) unless you voluntarily link an email
• No location data, contacts, or photos
• No advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking
• No analytics or behavioral tracking

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI — Your podcast topics are sent to OpenAI's API for script generation and text-to-speech audio. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Used for anonymous authentication, data storage, and serverless functions. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• NewsAPI — News headlines are fetched for the Discover feature. No user data is sent to NewsAPI.

Local Storage

The app caches audio files and stores your preferences (appearance, language) locally on your device. You can clear cached data at any time from Settings.

Data Security

All communications use HTTPS encryption. Anonymous authentication tokens are managed securely by Supabase. We do not store passwords — account linking is handled directly by Supabase Auth.

Children's Privacy

Voxen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data Retention

• Generated audio files are retained as long as your account exists
• Anonymous session data is removed after extended inactivity
• Local cache can be cleared at any time from Settings
• You can delete all data and your account from Settings

Your Rights

• Clear local cache from Settings
• Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
• Delete the app to remove all local data

Changes to This Policy

Any updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
